Best Dyson Ball Vacuums Currently Available

A couple of months ago I purchased a Dyson vacuum cleaner and I have to say the machine runs superbly, but with so many options to choose from I was a little confused about which one I should get. That’s when I came up with the idea to put together a list of the top 5 Dyson ball vacuums and their individual specifications to help me decide, and I figured why not share that list with you?

The Short List

Out of all their machines these are the top 5 which made my list:

  • Dyson DC40 Upright Vacuum Cleaner
  • Dyson DC50 Upright Vacuum Cleaner
  • Dyson DC39 Animal Canister Vacuum Cleaner
  • Dyson DC24 All-Floor Cleaner (Upright)
  • Dyson DC41 Animal with Tangle Free Turbine Tool

Their Similarities

Cyclone Technology

Have you noticed that with time your vacuum cleaner starts to lose its ability to suck things up? That’s because they use bags to collect unwanted dust and dirt, these bags have tiny holes which eventually get clogged making the machine performs slower.

Dyson on the other hand decided to channel the forces of nature with their cyclone technology. The internal mechanisms of these machines spin really fast developing what’s known as a centrifugal force. This force is so great that it throws dirt and dust straight up directly into the device bin, so they don’t even require bags. This feature makes Dyson one of the best vacuum cleaners for hardwood floors according to Hardwood Champ.

The cyclone even collects microscopic dirt like bacteria and allergens which is why these machines have been approved by the ‘Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America’ for use by people with mild or severe allergies.

Ball Technology

I don’t know about you but personally my house is cluttered and it can be really difficult to steer a vacuum cleaner around my knick-knacks, that’s where Dyson comes in. Rather than mounting these machines on fixed wheels which are more limited, they ride on a ball, this makes steering really easy because the machines can turn on the spot.

Center of gravity isn’t really something you’d consider when purchasing a vacuum but Dyson thought about it for us. The motor on these machines is the heaviest part but they have been positioned in such a way that their center of gravity is lowered which makes them more stable.

Additionally every one of these machines comes with a clear bin so we know when its time to empty it out.

Their Differences

· This is Dyson’s standard machine it has an ‘instant release wand’ which stretches up to 5 times its length which is great for short people like me or for cleaning really hard to reach areas.

· The DC40 comes with a combination tool- a debris nozzle (which sucks up dirt) that comes with a brush attachment for dusting. They included a stair tool which is excellent as it is meant for cleaning the vertical edges of staircases.

· The ball on this vacuum has been designed specifically to reduce noise.

· Since this is a canister vacuum it has been designed with a ‘central steering mechanism’ which makes it easier to control.

Basic Comparison – Summary

All 5 devices have the same standard specifications mentioned in the DC40 section but unlike the DC40 the other four devices have what is known as a tangle-free turbine tool.

This tool comprises of two counter rotating brushes which remove pet hair. What makes this technology better than that found in other machines is that there is no brush bar, so more hair is sucked into the bin of the vacuum.

Apart from this the only major difference between these devices is their size, shape and color, which is also why their price varies. So ultimately the choice isn’t really that difficult, don’t read the product summary and wonder “why are they priced differently when they have the same specifications?”

What you’re really deciding on is size and visual appeal, in terms of functionality however there aren’t many other vacuum cleaners that could compete with Dyson.

The Right Lightweight Vacuum For Your Home

Home and kitchen cleaning could be enjoyable and annoying for that matter. What makes the difference? It is pretty simple; if you take on a long journey, it is second to nature that you need to get a car that is up to the task. It is not any different with cleaning. While home cleaning is considered a task, it as well could be an enjoyable task.

The tools you use are what will make the difference. Employing the right gear for home and kitchen cleaning is simply choosing to have a wonderful cleaning time. You don’t want to use that broken vacuum cleaner that keeps powering on and off every five minutes. What then should you look for to get you started?

What vacuum cleaner should I get?

lightweight-dyson-vacuumJust the same way you enter a showroom and make a choice of what car to drive out there with; it applies to your home vacuum. What are you after? What works for you? Basically these are the questions that will keep your mind open on what to get.

Vacuums come with various sizes, shapes, weights and a whole lot of other variable features. For an ideal cleaning moment, I would assume you could be looking for something portable, small and light weight. With these combinations, you are guaranteed a comfortable cleaning experience without any fear of getting tired quickly.

It is interesting to note that most light weights when it comes to vacuum cleaners, are upright in nature. This aesthetic feature gives the user an easy time while handling the vacuum. Canisters are also an admired type by those who consider the upright lot not worth the consideration.

Customer Reviews on Lightweight Vacuums

Different customers think differently when it comes to the best handheld vacuum. To some for example, the canister kind would work great for their home & kitchen cleaning while to others, the upright make is what they would give consideration. It is however clear that the brands I have mentioned up there are what you should consider. Majority of the customers have a liking towards the shark series while others might hold varying preferences towards the other stretched lot. Just as it’s mentioned at Cleaniatric, you are the one to define what you are looking for. The market is ready and willing to supplement your taste with quality so go ahead and give it your best shot.
